Italeri is an Italian plastic model kit manufacturer founded in 1962 in Bologna by Giuliano Malservisi and Gian Pietro Parmeggiani. The company initially began by producing miniature plastic soldiers and figures before expanding into scale model kits of aircraft, military vehicles, ships, and cars.

Italeri gained prominence in the 1970s and 1980s for producing high-quality kits at competitive prices, often featuring subjects popular with European modelers. The company became known for its detailed 1/72 scale aircraft and 1/35 scale military vehicle kits, earning respect among hobbyists for good fit and reasonable accuracy.

Throughout its history, Italeri has acquired moulds from other manufacturers and collaborated with various companies, re-boxing kits under different brands. The company has also produced kits for other manufacturers under license.
