The Achilles was a British conversion of the American M10 tank destroyer, re-armed with the 17-pounder anti-tank gun — one of the few Allied weapons capable of reliably defeating the Tiger I and Panther at combat ranges. It served from Normandy through to the end of the war in Europe. AFV Club's 1/35 kit captures the distinctive 17-pounder barrel, open-topped turret, and M10 hull with authentic British markings. An important and well-kitted subject for Allied tank destroyer collectors.
