The Churchill AVRE (Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers) was a combat engineering conversion mounting a 290mm Petard spigot mortar for destroying fortifications at close range. The Mk.III AVRE served with the 79th Armoured Division from D-Day onwards. AFV Club's 1/35 kit captures the distinctive short-barrelled mortar, armoured hull, and engineer fittings with authentic British markings. A fascinating variant for Churchill and specialist vehicle collectors.
