Airfix 1/72 Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk.V (A08016)

Build an important early-war RAF bomber with the Airfix 1/72 Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk.V, kit A08016. Its long fuselage and angular outline provide a distinctive contrast to the later four-engine bombers, making it an appealing addition to a collection exploring the development of RAF Bomber Command.

The Whitley was active from the outset of the Second World War, initially dropping leaflets before taking part in bombing operations. This kit focuses on the Mk.V bomber rather than the separately released Coastal Command variants, offering two wartime marking schemes for your chosen finish.

The kit contains 152 plastic parts and is rated at Airfix skill level 3. The completed model measures approximately 313mm long with a wingspan of 356mm, providing a substantial twin-engine project in 1/72 scale. Take time over assembly and finishing to bring this less familiar RAF subject into your display.

Manufacturer: Airfix; scale: 1/72; kit reference: A08016. The box contains the plastic kit, instructions, paint guide and decals. Assembly and painting are required, with glue and paints supplied separately.
