Amodel’s 1/144 Avro 691 Lancastrian Qantas brings a distinctive subject to the modelling bench. This unassembled plastic model kit is identified by manufacturer reference 1462.
About the subject
The Lancastrian adapted the Lancaster's familiar four-engined airframe for transport work, replacing its bomber appearance with a streamlined nose and tail. This Qantas-themed release connects wartime aircraft development with the rebuilding of long-distance civil aviation. The aircraft's ancestry makes it an especially interesting companion to a Lancaster in the same scale.
