The Pz.Kpfw.38D was a proposed improved development of the Czech-derived 38(t) family, intended to replace the ageing chassis with a purpose-designed German hull. Combined here with a Panzer IV turret mounting the 8cm PAW 600 recoilless anti-tank gun, this is an entirely paper project that never reached prototype stage. Amusing Hobby's 1/35 kit realises this speculative combination with authentic late-war German markings. An esoteric and genuinely interesting subject for collectors of German developmental armour.
