The Takao was the lead ship of Japan's Takao-class heavy cruisers, among the most powerful and capable cruisers of the Second World War. She survived the war in a damaged state after being hit by a British midget submarine in Singapore harbour in 1945. Aoshima's 1/350 Ironclad Series kit captures the Takao in her 1944 configuration with authentic IJN markings at a scale that allows impressive detail. A substantial build for serious Japanese naval modellers.
