The Fuso was one of Japan's Fuso-class battleships, substantially rebuilt in the 1930s to give her the distinctive pagoda-style forward mast that became an iconic silhouette of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She was sunk during the Battle of Surigao Strait in October 1944 — the last battleship-versus-battleship action in history. Aoshima's 1/700 full hull kit captures the Fuso in her final 1944 configuration with metal barrels and authentic IJN markings. A historically charged and dramatic subject.
