The USS Wasp (CV-7) was a purpose-built US Navy fleet carrier of the pre-war era, lost to Japanese submarine attack in September 1942 after making notable contributions to the relief of Malta. Aoshima's 1/700 Waterline Series kit captures the Wasp in her wartime configuration with authentic US Navy markings. A historically significant and relatively rarely-kitted American carrier subject.
