The F4F-4 was the folding-wing production Wildcat, enabling carrier stowage of more aircraft at the cost of some performance. It fought at Coral Sea, Midway, and Guadalcanal, where a handful of Marine Corps pilots held off Japanese air attacks in near-hopeless odds. Arma Hobby's 1/72 kit captures the F4F-4's folding wing mechanism and Pacific War markings. An essential Wildcat variant for early Pacific War collectors.
