The Me 262 A-1a Schwalbe was the world's first operational jet fighter, entering Luftwaffe service in mid-1944 and shocking Allied pilots with its speed advantage of over 100mph. Flown by elite units including JG 7, it showed what jet power could achieve while demonstrating the limitations of a revolutionary weapon introduced too late. Arma Hobby's 1/72 kit captures the A-1a's swept wings and twin Jumo 004 nacelles with authentic late-war Luftwaffe markings.
