The Ta 152 H-1 was Kurt Tank's masterpiece — a high-altitude development of the Fw 190D optimised for interception above 12,000 metres, with a pressurised cockpit and extended wing. It entered Luftwaffe service in early 1945 with JG 301, too late and in too few numbers to affect the outcome of the war. ART Model's 1/72 kit captures the H-1 variant's elongated fuselage and broad wings with recessed panel lines and decals for operational markings. One of the finest piston-engined fighters of the war, and a rewarding 1/72 build.
