The Gloster Gauntlet Mk.I entered RAF service in 1935 as the fastest British fighter of its day, capable of 230mph — a significant achievement for a biplane. It served as a front-line fighter until replaced by monoplane types and remained in use as a trainer and secondary fighter into the early war years. AZmodel's 1/72 kit captures the Mk.I's clean biplane layout with authentic RAF markings. A fine subject for pre-war RAF and interwar biplane collectors.
