The Martlet Mk.I was the Fleet Air Arm's designation for the earliest Grummans delivered to Britain — originally built for France, diverted after the fall of France in 1940, and entering FAA service in distinctive French-style camouflage. The type became the first American-built aircraft to shoot down a German aircraft in British service. AZmodel's 1/72 kit captures the Mk.I's fixed undercarriage and early configuration with authentic FAA markings. An important early-war subject for British naval aviation collectors.
