The He 162D was a proposed development featuring a butterfly V-tail in place of the standard tail assembly, intended to improve directional stability. It remained on the drawing board. AZmodel's 1/72 kit presents this speculative variant in authentic late-war Luftwaffe markings. A niche but visually striking addition to an He 162 variant collection.
