Bring an important stage in the Spitfire story to your 1/72 aircraft collection with AZmodel’s early Mk.IXc. This boxing focuses on the early form of the famous Merlin-powered fighter, making it an appealing subject for a display tracing the development of the Spitfire.
About the aircraft
The Mk.IX was developed to improve the Spitfire’s performance against increasingly capable opposition. Its two-stage supercharged Merlin helped restore competitiveness at altitude, while the “c” designation identifies the universal wing.
