A rare and highly characterful subject from Fine Molds — the Imperial Japanese Army field kitchen unit, centred on the Type 97 Movable Boiler (known as the "Idomushi" or rice cooker), which was a standard piece of IJA logistics equipment throughout the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. The kit includes three IJA soldier figures and all the associated field kitchen paraphernalia, making it an ideal centrepiece for a support echelon or bivouac diorama. Fine Molds' FM61 is the kind of niche, authentic subject this manufacturer excels at, and a welcome contrast to front-line combat subjects.
