The Mine Clearing Blade System (MCBS) is a hydraulically operated dozer blade fitted to M1 Abrams tanks for breaching minefields and clearing obstacles during assault operations. First used operationally during Operation Desert Storm in 1991, it allows the Abrams to push mines aside or bury them without detonation, creating a safe lane for following vehicles. This FlyHawk 1/72 kit (FH3301) adds the MCBS to the M1A2 SEP platform, making it a natural companion to the standard FH3300 kit and an ideal subject for combat engineer or assault breaching dioramas.
