FlyHawk 1/72 Renault FT-17 Light Tank (Cast Turret) (FH 3000)

The Renault FT is the founding design of modern tank architecture — the first production tank with a fully rotating turret and rear-mounted engine, a layout copied by virtually every tank designer since. The cast turret variant (sometimes called the "Omnibus" or rounded turret) was introduced as a simpler and faster alternative to the original riveted version, and was the more common type in French service by the Armistice. FT tanks remained in active use well into the 1940s, seeing combat in France in 1940 and with various nations into the early post-war period. This FlyHawk 1/72 kit (FH3000) is the cast turret version and pairs naturally with the riveted turret kit (FH3001).
