The Renault FT is one of the most historically significant tanks ever built — it introduced the layout of rotating turret on top of hull with engine at the rear that virtually every tank since has followed. Produced in enormous numbers from 1917, it was the first tank used in mass by the French Army and served with the American Expeditionary Forces on the Western Front. The riveted turret version was the initial production type and saw the most combat use in WWI. This FlyHawk 1/72 kit (FH3001) captures the riveted turret variant in fine detail and pairs naturally with the cast turret version (FH3000).
