The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is the US military's replacement for the ageing HMMWV (Humvee), entering service from 2018 with the US Army and Marine Corps. The M1278 is the Heavy Ground Mobility Vehicle variant, offering significantly better blast protection and off-road performance than its predecessor while remaining air-transportable. Already in service with a growing number of NATO allies, the JLTV represents the current generation of light protected mobility. This ForeArt 1/72 kit (2005) captures the JLTV's distinctive armoured profile and modular design.
