The Schnellboot — known to the Allies as the E-boat — was Germany's highly effective fast attack craft of World War II, operating in the English Channel, North Sea, and Baltic to intercept convoys, lay mines, and attack warships. Fast, seaworthy, and heavily armed with torpedoes and cannon, the S-boats were a persistent threat to Allied coastal shipping throughout the war. This ForeArt 1/72 kit (1002) depicts the S-38 class in its 1940 early-war configuration, with finely moulded hull components and authentic decals.
