The Scimitar is the British Army's CVR(T) — Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) — armed with a 30mm RARDEN cannon and designed for the fast-moving reconnaissance role on the NATO Central Front. First entering service in 1971, it has seen combat in the Falklands, the Gulf War, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, making it one of the most combat-experienced British armoured vehicles of the modern era. The Mk 2 variant incorporates upgraded optics, appliqué armour, and other improvements. This ForeArt 1/72 kit (2001) captures the Scimitar's compact, purposeful profile.
