The Austin K2/Y heavy ambulance, often known as “Katy”, represents the casualty-evacuation side of British Second World War transport. Gecko Models’ 1/35 kit 35GM0068 depicts the early-war version, offering a non-combat vehicle for a British Army collection or medical-service diorama.
This boxing includes markings for a BEF example and vehicles used in the Western Desert and Sicily. It provides a starting point for a scene focused on medical transport rather than front-line fighting, or a companion to Gecko’s separately available late-war ambulance, kit 35GM0069.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Unless otherwise stated these models will need some construction and painting. Glues and paints are not included.
