The M24 Chaffee was the US Army's best light tank of World War II, finally replacing the outdated M5 Stuart with a much-improved 75mm gun, better armour, and a more powerful twin Cadillac engine. It arrived in the ETO in late 1944 and saw its baptism of fire during the Ardennes offensive, before serving extensively in the Pacific and remaining in widespread use with NATO and allied armies through Korea and beyond. This Gecko Models kit (16GM0038) presents the Chaffee in the large and impressive 1/16 scale — the ideal canvas for full detail on the turret, running gear, and interior fittings.
