Hasegawa 1/72 B-25J Mitchell [U.S. Army Air Force Bomber] (E16-00546)

The North American B-25 Mitchell is one of the most celebrated American bombers of the Second World War, made immortal by the Doolittle Raid of April 1942 when sixteen B-25s launched from the carrier USS Hornet to bomb Tokyo — demonstrating that Japan itself was vulnerable and delivering a tremendous boost to American morale after Pearl Harbor. The B-25J was the most heavily armed and produced variant, with up to fourteen .50 calibre machine guns and the option of a solid nose packed with additional forward-firing guns for low-level strafing. It served in every theatre of the war, from the Pacific to the Mediterranean and the China-Burma-India theatre. Hasegawa's 1/72 kit captures the Mitchell's purposeful twin-boom lines with authentic USAAF markings.
