The Hasegawa Heinkel He51 represents a pivotal moment in early German aviation history. This 1/72 scale model captures the elegance of the Luftwaffe's first single-seat fighter, a biplane that bridged the interwar period and the rise of modern combat aircraft. The He51 served with distinction from the early 1930s, seeing action in Spain during the Civil War and remaining in service through the early war years. Its open cockpit, strut-braced wings, and fixed landing gear exemplify the transitional design philosophy of its era—robust, reliable, and surprisingly agile for its time. This Hasegawa kit offers excellent detail for the scale, with finely moulded fuselage components, fabric-effect wing surfaces, and comprehensive decal options for both the B-2 and A-1 variants. The rigging and strut assembly provide a rewarding build experience, while the included markings allow you to recreate aircraft from various Luftwaffe units and Spanish Nationalist squadrons. Ideal for modellers interested in pre-war and early-war German aviation, this kit delivers authentic proportions and historical accuracy in a manageable build size.
