The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-5 was a mid-war refinement of Kurt Tank's revolutionary radial-engine fighter, introducing a lengthened engine mount that cured the overheating problems of earlier variants and made the aircraft even more capable. By 1943 the Fw 190 had firmly established itself as the Luftwaffe's finest fighter — faster than the Spitfire Mk.V at low and medium altitudes and formidably armed with an increasingly heavy cannon installation. In 1/32 scale, Hobby 2000's kit allows the BMW 801's massive cowling, the precise panel lines, and the cockpit detail to be rendered with a level of fidelity that simply isn't possible in smaller scales.
A superb large-scale build for Luftwaffe enthusiasts and serious display modellers.
