The Fw 190 A-6 was a refined fighter-bomber variant optimised for operations on the Eastern Front, where its powerful BMW 801 radial engine, heavy cannon armament, and exceptional low-altitude performance made it a formidable opponent for Soviet fighters and an effective ground-attack platform. Operating over the vast distances of Russia in 1943–44, A-6s of JG 51 and JG 54 wore the distinctive Eastern Front camouflage schemes of mottled greens and greys that make this an exceptionally attractive modelling subject. In 1/32 scale, Hobby 2000's kit allows every panel line and rivet of this classic Luftwaffe fighter to be brought to life with the detail it deserves.
