The A-4N was the final and most capable production variant of the Douglas Skyhawk built for the Israeli Air Force, designated "Ayit" (Eagle) in Israeli service. Delivered from 1972, the A-4N incorporated a more powerful engine, an uprated avionics suite, and a brake parachute, giving the Israeli Air Force a potent light attack aircraft that saw intensive action in the 1973 Yom Kippur War and subsequent operations over Lebanon. The early configuration captured in this kit represents the aircraft before later upgrades, in the distinctive Israeli desert camouflage that makes Ayit models instantly recognisable. Hobby 2000's 1/48 scale kit delivers the Skyhawk's compact, purposeful airframe with fine detail and authentic IDF/AF markings.
A standout subject for Israeli Air Force and Middle East conflict specialists.
