The Hawker Hurricane Mk.IA was the RAF's frontline fighter at the outbreak of World War II and the unsung hero of the Battle of Britain — accounting for more Luftwaffe aircraft destroyed than all other defences combined. Rugged, stable, and easy to repair, it lacked the Spitfire's glamour but more than made up for it in sheer effectiveness. Hobby 2000's 1/48 scale kit captures the original production variant with its distinctive fabric-covered wings, Watts two-blade propeller, and early RAF squadron markings, giving modellers an authentic snapshot of Fighter Command in 1939–40.
The ideal starting point for a Battle of Britain diorama or RAF collection.
