The Hurricane Mk.IIA Trop combined the uprated Merlin XX engine of the Mk.IIA with the Vokes sand filter and tropical equipment fit needed for operations in North Africa and the Middle East. Flying with squadrons across the Western Desert, East Africa, and the Far East, these aircraft carried the fight in some of the war's most punishing climates and against some of its most determined opponents. Hobby 2000's 1/48 scale kit captures the Mk.IIA Trop with the characteristic under-nose filter, authentic desert camouflage schemes, and the fine detail that makes this a rewarding build in this popular scale.
