The Bristol Beaufighter Mk.IF was the RAF's first truly effective night fighter, entering service in 1940 with airborne interception radar that gave Fighter Command its long-awaited ability to find and engage the Luftwaffe in darkness. The parallel Mk.IC was adapted for Coastal Command operations, hunting surface shipping and submarines with its devastating cannon armament. Together these early variants established the Beaufighter's reputation as one of the most potent and versatile British aircraft of the entire war. Hobby 2000's 1/72 kit covers both marks with accurate markings and the characteristic wide-track undercarriage and brooding, purposeful lines of the original Beaufighter.
The ideal starting point for a Beaufighter or night fighter collection.
