The Fast Attack Vehicle (FAV) — also known as the Desert Patrol Vehicle — is a heavily armed dune buggy-style vehicle used by US Special Operations Forces including Delta Force and Navy SEALs for rapid, long-range desert operations. Based on a modified VW Baja Bug chassis, it carries a crew of three and can be armed with a mix of M60, M2HB, Mk 19, and TOW missile launcher combinations. FAVs were deployed in Operation Desert Storm in 1991, conducting deep penetration raids into Iraq ahead of the main ground offensive. This HobbyBoss 1/35 kit (82406) captures the vehicle in Delta Force configuration.
