The Leopard C2 was the upgraded Canadian variant of the Leopard 1A3/1A5, serving with the Canadian Army from the 1970s until replacement by the Leopard 2 from 2007. Canadian Leopard C2s were deployed to Afghanistan in 2006 where they provided crucial armoured support to Canadian and NATO forces in Kandahar Province — Canada's first tank deployment since Korea. The C2 upgrade included improved fire control, a laser rangefinder, and appliqué armour packages. This HobbyBoss 1/35 kit (84503) is one of very few scale models of this distinctive Canadian variant.
