The Ranger Special Operations Vehicle (RSOV) is a modified Land Rover Defender 110 used by the US Army's 75th Ranger Regiment for fast, light infantry assault and reconnaissance missions. Armed in this configuration with the Mk 19 40mm automatic grenade launcher — capable of firing 325–375 grenades per minute out to over 1,500 metres — the RSOV provides Rangers with significant firepower from a highly mobile platform. RSOVs were used in Somalia (Operation Gothic Serpent, 1993), Afghanistan, and Iraq. This HobbyBoss 1/35 kit (82449) captures the Mk 19-armed variant in accurate detail.
