The M3A1 White Scout Car was the standard American light armoured vehicle of World War II, used for reconnaissance, command, and infantry transport across every theatre from North Africa to the Pacific. Built by the White Motor Company from 1939, it was supplied in enormous numbers under Lend-Lease to the Soviet Union, Britain, and other Allies — the Soviets received over 3,300 and used them extensively on the Eastern Front. The early production variant featured an open-topped hull with a Hercules ring mount for defensive armament. This HobbyBoss 1/35 kit (82451) captures the early production configuration.
