The Republic F-84F Thunderstreak was a swept-wing development of the straight-wing F-84G Thunderjet, significantly improving performance to make it a capable fighter-bomber in the transonic era. Entering USAF service in 1954, it equipped both USAF Tactical Air Command and many NATO air forces throughout the late 1950s, serving with Belgium, Denmark, France, West Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Taiwan, and Turkey. It was the aircraft involved in the 1956 Suez Crisis operations with French and Israeli air forces. This HobbyBoss 1/48 kit (81726) captures this important Cold War NATO jet.
