The T-34/85 was a decisive upgrade of the T-34, introducing an enlarged turret housing the powerful 85mm ZIS-S-53 gun capable of defeating the Panther and Tiger at normal combat ranges. The Model 1944 with angle-jointed turret represents a specific production period from the No. 112 factory, featuring a distinctive welded seam pattern on the turret that helps identify the production origin. From mid-1944, the T-34/85 became the standard Soviet medium tank and played a central role in all major Soviet offensives through to Berlin. This HobbyBoss 1/48 kit (84809) captures this specific production variant in accurate detail.
