The Panther Ausf. A was the second major production variant of Germany's most capable medium tank, introduced in late 1943 after the teething troubles of the Ausf. D were addressed. It retained the same 75mm KwK 42 L/70 gun that could defeat any Allied tank at combat ranges, and introduced a new commander's cupola with improved vision. Panthers served on both the Eastern and Western Fronts from Kursk onwards and were considered by many Allied commanders to be the finest tank of the war. This HobbyBoss 1/48 kit (84830) captures the Ausf. A at this convenient smaller scale.
