The M4A3E8 — nicknamed "Easy Eight" by its crews for its improved horizontal volute spring suspension (HVSS) that gave a smoother ride — was the most capable Sherman variant of World War II and the primary American tank of the Korean War. Armed with a 76mm gun and facing Soviet-supplied T-34/85s at the outbreak of the Korean conflict, it held its own until the heavier M46 Patton arrived in numbers. This HobbyBoss 1/48 kit (84804) captures the M4A3E8 in its Korean War configuration with appropriate markings.
