The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was one of the most successful naval attack aircraft ever built, serving from 1956 through to the 1990s with the US Navy and Marine Corps and numerous export customers. The A-4M was the final US Marine Corps variant, optimised for close air support with an improved engine, a larger cockpit for better visibility, and a more powerful avionics suite. Skyhawks fought in the Vietnam War, the 1973 Yom Kippur War (with Israel), and the 1982 Falklands War — where Argentine A-4s sank several Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary ships. This HobbyBoss 1/72 kit (87256) captures the definitive A-4M Marine variant.
