The Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf.a1 was the very first production variant of Germany's 20mm autocannon light tank, and as such it represents the absolute beginning of the production Pz.II series. Distinguishable from later a-series vehicles by specific early hull and suspension details, the a1 was produced in small numbers and served primarily during the pre-war and Polish campaign period. IBG's commitment to variant accuracy means that the a1 is precisely differentiated from the a2 and b variants in the same range, giving Pz.II enthusiasts the ability to build the complete early production sequence.
