ORP Ślązak was a Polish Navy destroyer escort serving under the White Eagle in Royal Navy waters — one of the Polish warships that escaped the fall of Poland in 1939 and continued the fight from British ports throughout the war. As a Hunt II class vessel crewed entirely by Poles and fighting under the Polish flag, Ślązak represented Poland's determination to maintain a naval presence and contribute to the Allied war effort even after the homeland was occupied.
