The Chevrolet C30A was the 30cwt middle-weight member of the Canadian Military Pattern truck family, filling the gap between the light C15A and the heavier C60 series with a vehicle well-suited to the medium loads that formation-level transport required. In general service cargo configuration it carried the mix of stores and equipment that fed forward units from the brigade and divisional transport columns, and its CMP cab gave it the same instantly recognisable Canadian character as the rest of the family. The C30A completes the weight range of the CMP family in IBG's range, providing modellers with the full spectrum from light to heavy Canadian wartime transport.
The medium-weight CMP — the C30A filling the gap between the light 15cwt and heavy C60 in Commonwealth transport columns.
