The Diamond T 968 was the United States Army's standard 4-ton cargo truck, produced in huge numbers and supplied to Allied forces under Lend-Lease. Powered by a Hercules diesel engine and featuring a distinctive open cargo body with slatted sides, it served in every theatre of the war carrying the ammunition, food, and equipment that kept armies fighting. In British and Commonwealth service it supplemented the Bedford QL in forward area logistics, and its rugged construction made it well-suited to the demanding conditions of North Africa and the Pacific. A classic American truck of the Second World War that defined the look of Allied supply columns.
The workhorse American cargo truck of the Lend-Lease era — essential for any Allied logistics display.
