The Otter was a Canadian-built armoured car based on the GM truck chassis, essentially a four-wheeled armoured car serving a similar reconnaissance role to the Humber and Lynx in Commonwealth forces. Produced in Canada and serving with Canadian, British, and other Commonwealth formations, it was a practical and reliable vehicle that equipped many reconnaissance regiments in North-West Europe and Italy. The Otter's conventional truck-derived layout makes it less glamorous than the Daimler or Humber, but its widespread service and Canadian provenance give it a distinct identity. IBG offers it at 1/72 scale with the detail and accuracy that this Commonwealth workhorse deserves.
