This 2-in-1 kit pairs the Type 89 Kou medium tank with the Type 95 Ha-Go light tank — the two vehicles that formed the backbone of IJA armoured operations in China and the early Pacific campaigns. The Type 89 Kou was Japan's first purpose-designed medium tank, slower than the Ha-Go but better armed with a 57mm gun capable of effective infantry support. Together these two tanks represent the complete picture of Japanese armoured doctrine in the mid-1930s to early 1940s, when the IJA was developing its tank arm against Chinese opposition that rarely challenged them seriously. Outstanding value for two complementary subjects in a single box.
