The BTR-4E fitted with the GROM remote weapon station carries a 30mm autocannon, anti-tank guided missiles, and 7.62mm machine gun in an unmanned turret that provides the crew with significantly enhanced firepower while keeping them protected within the hull. The GROM-equipped BTR-4E transforms the vehicle from a basic APC into a genuine infantry fighting vehicle capable of engaging light armour and fortified positions. This version has been widely used by Ukrainian forces and represents the vehicle at its most combat-capable, with the distinctive turret profile that makes it immediately identifiable from the basic variant.
