The Ford Model A was Henry Ford's triumphant return to competitiveness after years of the Model T's dominance had finally been overtaken by General Motors — a modern, stylish, and capable car that restored Ford's position at the top of the American market when it launched in 1927. The Standard Phaeton with soft top was one of the most elegant body styles available on the Model A chassis, an open touring car with a folding hood that combined practicality with the graceful proportions of late-1920s American automobile design. ICM's 1/24 kit captures the Model A in one of its most attractive configurations, at the point in automotive history when American car design was reaching its pre-Depression peak.
